Tuttle Registration form

After School at Tuttle - for 6th, 7th and 8th Graders

School’s Out at Tuttle will provide a safe and fun environment where participants will be able to socialize, learn, explore interests, be active, and learn independence.  School’s Out will operate weekdays from dismissal until 6:00 pm right at F.H. Tuttle Middle School.

Our number one goal is safety.  Unsupervised youth are much more likely to engage in juvenile crime and other unsafe behaviors during the after school hours.  School’s Out will provide participants with a safe and supervised environment.

Enrollment

We are now accepting registration forms.  Forms can be printed from our website (Link at top of page).  Enrollment will be capped at 59 children per day.

5 Days - $72 per week ($62 sibling)

3 Days - $52 per week ($45 sibling)

2 Days - $41 per week ($37 sibling)

Socialization

We understand the importance of social activities for middle school youth.  We aim to provide an environment where kids can socialize in a positive way while participating in activities.  Bullying and hurtful language will not be tolerated.

Academic Support

Homework, Homework, homework! We will provide ample time and support so that homework gets done and gets done right.  Students can opt to complete homework in a designated quiet study space or they can study in a more “relaxed” space.  We are hoping to have a posse of high school volunteers as well as paid staff to provide more direct homework support.

Creativity

We believe that creativity and innovation are key components to a child’s personality and success.  We encourage students to express their creative side in a plethora of different projects, including pottery, photography, painting, movie making…You name it!

Enrichment

School’s Out will provide students with hands-on learning activities that are fun engaging and compliment the learning that takes place during the school day.  Enrichment projects will include technology ventures, science experiments, community service projects, and more!

Active Sports and Games

Got an active kid?  We’ll keep them moving.  School’s Out will provide plenty of opportunities for kids to be active.  We believe that every kid has the right to participate in sports and games.  The name of the game? FUN!!!

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: My child participates in sports and clubs after school , but there are some weeks  that she doesn’t have any after school options.  Can I enroll her for weeks as I need them?

A: As it stands right now, we are only planning on enrolling students who will have a consistent and reoccurring weekly schedule (ie, Monday – Friday every week, or Tuesday and Thursday every week).  We will accommodate variable schedules (like the one mentioned above)  if we do not reach our maximum capacity of 59 students per day.

Q: My child loved School’s Out when they were younger, but now they want to be more independent and they’re worried that they won’t have any fun at the program.  How will you keep my child engaged?

A:  The Tuttle School’s Out program will look entirely different than our Elementary School Programs.  The program will feature a structured schedule, but kids will be given ample opportunity to explore other interests and socialize with friends.  Activities will be challenging, engaging and fun!

What are your thoughts?  What would you like to see offered at the Tuttle School’s Out program?  We aim to meet the needs of parents and children.  Send us an email with your ideas and we’ll take them into consideration when planning curriculum.
